The White-flippered Penguin is one of the world’s smallest penguin species.  They have blue-gray feathers and a white stomach.  These penguins weigh about 3lbs.  White-flippered Penguins live in caves and rocks, and they dive in order to obtain food.   White-flippered Penguins mostly eat small fish such as pilchards and anchovies.  This type of penguin is severely threatened by humans because they nest in areas near shipping lanes.  The penguin gets caught up into the nets cast out.  The White-flippered Penguins lay their eggs within plant material or in hollow areas underneath bushes or rocks.
